Volunteering is never just about the hours spent or the tasks completed. It is about the spirit you bring, the kindness you share, and the hope you help create. It has a power to be transformative, not only for those receiving support, but for those who give it as well.

Before I volunteered at Franciscan Sisters, I was babysitting my grandchildren and before that I lived in Arizona and took care of my parents in their elderly years. Now my parents are gone and my grandchildren are all in school. The six year old still comes over a lot and he is a real Joy. I needed to continue serving so I was happy to join the volunteers at Franciscan Sisters. I enjoy working with the other volunteers and talking with the Sisters. It’s another dimension of Gods kindness to me. In serving others we find that the Blessings come back to us.

The Woods gives a calming and loving spirit to one who attends a spiritual program or volunteers. The sisters works of love and mercy inspire all who come and do something with or for them. In short simple words it is a Blessing and Joy to be there.
